Agnes F. Peiffer, 89, of Tiffin, died at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital.

Agnes was born March 21, 1934, in Tiffin, to Paul J. and Eleanor (Elchert) Steinhauser. She married Gerald A. Peiffer on June 25, 1955, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and he died March 16, 1993.

Agnes' survivors include two sons, Stephen (Norma) Peiffer of Galena and Timothy (Marla) Peiffer of Tiffin; three daughters, Linda Finley of Fort Worth, Texas, Lora (John) Krause of Clyde, and Lisa (Joel) Kohler of Mason; 12 grandchildren, Erica (Chris) Horman, Sheena (Chance) Barthold, Tiffany (Ryan) Canaday, Mike (Roseann) Peiffer, Tiara Krause, Garrett (Pam) Krause, Zachary Peiffer, Brittany (Derek) Egbert, Bethany Peiffer, Jared Kohler, Claire Kohler, and Jessica (Shawn) Miller; 11 great-grandchildren, Emily, Wesley, and Trevor Horman, Deegan Barthold, Eloise Canaday, Emmajean and Annmarie Peiffer, Blair and Meredith Krause, and Aubrie and Rylie Egbert; two brothers, Anthony (Mary) Steinhauser of Tiffin and Cyril (Mary) Steinhauser of LaSalle, Michigan; and sister, Donna (Garry) Kin of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Carl Steinhauser and Joseph Steinhauser; four sisters, Jean Steinhauser, Ruth Steinhauser, Irene Whealan, and Marie Hammer; and son-in-law, Tal Finley.

Agnes worked at Golden Acres Turkey Farm and later retired in 2002 from Oberlin Processing. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Agnes had a passion for staying in close touch with her family and friends. Her relationships with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were priceless to her. She was always there to lend an ear and give sound advice if asked. She was a mother figure to not only her children, but to many other family members as well. Condolences on the death of Agnes. She worked with my Mother,Alma Brandt at the turkey farm and was a good friend. The last I saw her was at St. Mary's Church where she was attending the funeral of my Aunt; Pat Depinet. I think your Dad and Mom were neighbors of Aunt Pat and Uncle Joe years ago.May with the help of God, family, and friends help you through this time of sorrow.
