Allan Simpkins Obituary
Allan Simpkins, 79, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Heritage Village of Clyde.
He was born July 21, 1943, in Tiffin, to James and Opal (Hannam) Simpkins. He married Lorena Simpkins and they later divorced. He married Michela "Mickey" Harrington on Jan. 29, 1993, and she preceded him in death Jan. 20, 2018.
Allan is survived by his sons, Mike Simpkins of Arizona and Perry Simpkins of Columbus; daughters, Pam (Pat) Ratcliff of Fremont and Judy Riley of Tiffin; brother, Richard "Richy" Simpkins; sisters, Carol Breitigam and Marcy Simpkins; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lorena; second wife, Mickey; and brother, James "Jimmy" Simpkins.
Allan was a quality inspector for many years, retiring from Honeywell. He loved building model trains and watching trains with his family. Allan liked big TV's, the latest gadgets, and working with wood. He was a hard worker and helped others when they needed it.
Allan's graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, with Father Thomas Abraham officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
