Ann Dell Obituary

Ann P. Dell

Ann P. Dell, 76, left this world to be welcomed home to the open arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, June 25, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Fostoria November 4, 1948, to John E. and Ruth J. (Kimmet) Crawford. On February 24, 1968, she married Steven C. "Steve" Dell, and he survives. The couple met at the L-K's "Royal Buffet" Restaurant in Fostoria in 1967. Their marriage, almost one year to the day later, February 24, 1968, was officiated by her uncle, Fr. Frank Crawford, resulting in 57 years of being "happy together."

They were blessed by several children, son, John (Marsha) Dell, of Englewood, Florida; daughter, Laura (Richard) Bolling of Fremont; daughter, Rebecca (William, Jr.) Cummings of Norwalk; and son, Daniel (Beth) Dell of Tiffin; grandchildren, Macy, Charles, Allison, Patience, Madison, Grace, Emily, Morgan, and Jack; and great-grandchildren: Hudson, Arrow, and Florence.

She is also survived by a brother, Donald (Anita) Crawford of Bradner; sister, Jane (Robert) Sparks of Fostoria; sister, Susan Harris of Fremont; sister-in-law, Rose Roberts; brothers-in-law: Michael Dell and Donald (Jeannie) Dell; sisters-in-law, Nancy (George) Horton; Sue (Jeffrey) Egbert; and Mary (Kendall) Stucky.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert James Dell (stillborn); brother, James Crawford; parents-in-law, Herbert and Ruth Dell; brother-in-law, August Popp; brother-in-law, Randie Green; and sister-in-law, Deborah Dell.

She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. One of her favorite activities was treating her grandchildren to lunch and shopping on their birthdays. Ann was an avid reader and felt uncomfortable if there were not three books or more on hand. As an expert seamstress, she would use her gift to make a total of 704 dresses of various sizes for "Little Dresses for Africa" charity. For all members of her immediate family, she crafted a total of 27 personalized Christmas Stockings. She was an accomplished knitter, using her talents to knit sweaters for World Vision's "Knit for Kids" program, providing over 80 sweaters to be used for children around the world. During her 22 years as a cake decorator, Ann created beautiful cakes for family and friends, including those used for all of her children's weddings.

Ann's boundless love and generous heart for family and friends also included caring for people with special needs, "her ladies." She supervised a group home for three to five of her ladies for a period of over seven years. For almost 30 years, Ann partnered with her husband at their family business, Dell's Precision Printing. She provided friendly customer service and bookkeeping and assisted with virtually all aspects of the print shop. Along with her husband, she enjoyed trips to the Smoky Mountains and Ohio's Amish country and particularly loved their vacation to Seattle Sightseeing and a Cruise to Alaska. Ann was a devout Christian and member of Grace Community Church, Tiffin. She was broken-hearted that she was not able to attend in person during her last year or so.

Ann's family is so very grateful, beyond words, for the assistance received from Empatia Palliative Care and Heartland Hospice, provided by the following absolutely wonderful and caring people, Rae, Emsley, Jean, Jen, Lisa, Gretchen, Tom, Bambie and Amanda. They cared for her and the family as she fought her battle with congestive heart failure.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or Right to Life Action Coalition of Ohio Education Fund.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2025, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

There will be a private funeral service and burial will be at a later date at Dayton National Cemetery.

Condolences may be sent and guestbook signed at www.hgmackfuneralhome.com.

For many years
It just wasn´t business when you went to Dells
It was a great opportunity to visit with wonderful people
My sincere condolences Steve
Like to share one of my favorite Ann stories
Funny in retrospect, but not at the time
Ann was at the bowling alley watching grandkids during birthday celebration
Kids kept asking her to bowl, but Ann said no way no bowling shoes
Someone asked her to bowl one ball for someone who was in the restroom
She complied and unfortunately blew her knee out which later required surgery and P.T.
The punchline
Ann toughed out the rest of the party in pain before going to hospital
That´s Ann
Pleasure to know her
