Ann C. Risner

Ann C. Risner, 75, of Tiffin, died at 12:12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 12, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to Thomas L. and Gertrude F. (Wisniewski) Derr. She married David Young in 1972 and they later divorced. She then married William Risner on Oct. 6, 1989, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Tiffin, and he survives.

Ann is also survived by three sons, Jesse K. Young of Columbus, Jonathon W. (Nikki) Risner of Tiffin, and Zachary D. Young of Centerburg; two daughters, Kristy L. Risner of Tiffin and Sharon M. (Mike) Pheifer of Rossford; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Thomas F. (Rachel) Derr of Wooster, John (Kay) Derr of Napoleon, and Samuel D.(Luann) Derr of Cuyahoga Falls; and three sisters, Pauline P. (Dave) Gillespie and Marie A. Grove, both of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Diane M. (Terry) Lewis of Toledo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Catherine Grace Risner; and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Irene Taylor.

Ann was a 1965 Calvert High School graduate and attended Owen's Tech. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Master Gardener through The OSU Extension. Ann retired after 24 years as a registered nurse at Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital.

There will be no visitation. Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date and burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul or Humane Society of Seneca County.
