Anthony "Tony" Ruggiero Jr.

Anthony "Tony" Ruggiero Jr., 87, of Tiffin, passed away Friday morning, April 4, 2025, at St. Francis Home.

He was born January 23, 1938, in Tiffin to Anthony and Adelina (Ricci) Ruggiero. On May 18, 1963, he married Marjorie Reinbolt, and she preceded him in death in 2001.

Survivors include his sons, Anthony (Amy) Ruggiero, III of Dublin and Mike Ruggiero of Tiffin; daughter, Ann (Larry) Bowman of Old Fort; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Damian Ruggiero; brothers, Frank J. Ruggiero, Bartholomew "Ben" Ruggiero and Daniel Ruggiero; and sisters, Michealina "Maggie" Aiello, Mary Shimer, Pat Klopp, Liz Porter, Carmela "Mollie" Aiello, Ann Kiesel, Grace Mangiola, Alice Burkart and Lucy McClellan.

Tony served in the United States Navy from 1955-1959 as an aviation machinist. He worked at General Electric for 27 years. After GE closed, Tony worked at Hayes Albion, Tiffin Art Metal, Airfoil Textron and retired in 2003 from Kuss Corp. in Findlay. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Tony was a carpenter, electrician, and plumber and, with those skills, rebuilt his house. He was a problem solver, inventor and thinker. Tony enjoyed working on cars and houses with his good friend, Lenny Longo.

His Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, with military honors being conducted by United Veterans Council.
