Arthur "Art" Feck

Arthur "Art" Feck, 65, of Carey, passed away unexpectedly due to an automobile accident Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Art was born April 4, 1960, in Tiffin, to Nobert and Dora (Dentinger) Feck. He married Leona (Maskey) Stansbery December 6, 2003, and she survives in Carey. Art is also survived by children, Melissa (Scott) Zaciewski, New Riegel, Matt Feck, Bucyrus, Andrew Stansbery, Findlay, Brenda Moore, Upper Sandusky, and Nathan Stansbery, Upper Sandusky; grandchildren, Cohen and Connor Zaciewski, Dustin and Alex Feck, Katlyn (Cody) Roberts, Jace, Elliana and Brayleigh Stansbery and Kip Penwell and Kaden Stansbery; great-grandchildren, Elaine, Danny and another due in March; siblings, Joan Feck of Carey, Ruth (Dan) Smith of Upper Sandusky and Vita (Dave) Hefner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Feck.

Art attended New Riegel Schools and graduated from Carey High School in 1978. He was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Parish in Frenchtown. After the parish closed, Art attended All Saints Parish in New Riegel. He worked at US Commission Company before farming full-time. Art was a lifelong farmer. He took great pride in preserving the family's agricultural legacy, earning the designation of a Sesquicentennial Year Farm on behalf of the Feck family.

Art's life was rooted in faith, family, and farming. He especially cherished time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding joy in watching them grow. He was a steady presence, a trusted example, and a source of strength and support to those he loved.

Art was an active high school basketball referee for many years. Soft-spoken and genuine, Art was humble and practical. Art will be fondly remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet generosity, deep love for his family, and lifelong commitment to his community and the land he cherished.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2026, at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey. Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at All Saints Parish, 39 N. Perry St., New Riegel, Ohio 44853. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Frenchtown.
