Barbara Jean Norris

Barbara Jean Norris, 90, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Mercy Health -Tiffin Hospital emergency room.

She was born July 24, 1935, in Marks Center, to Steven and Kathleen (Kroneker) Szabo and was the last of 13 children. On November 7, 1953, she married Ivron Norris, and he preceded her in death March 27, 2015.

She is survived by her sons, Paul Norris and Gary Norris, both of Tiffin, Stanley (Cheryl) Norris of St. Paris; daughters, Beverly (Mike) Forte of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Brenda (Matthew) Riesen of Van Buren; and five grandchildren, Sarah (Jonathon) Gohmann, Bethany Norris, Seth Norris, Madalyn Riesen and Aedan Riesen.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and seven sisters.

Barbara was a member of Bascom Union United Church of Christ. She was an OSU Buckeye fan, enjoyed flowers and birds and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Barbara was the best mom and grandma, loved by everyone.

Visitation will be at noon and funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor Barb Osborn officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to F.A.C.T., an organization dedicated to helping local residents battling cancer with expenses, including transportation, medication, and treatment costs.
