Betty Quickle Obituary

Betty J. Quickle

Betty J. Quickle, 91, of Tiffin, passed away at 8:52 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.

Betty was born in Eden Township on November 20, 1933, to Paul and Kathryn (Hall) Crum. She married Glenn R. Quickle at Washington Street United Methodist Church in Tiffin on November 28, 1959.

Betty is survived by her son, Edward (Laura) Quickle, and granddaughter, Alexis Quickle, both of Tiffin; and sister-in-law, Audrey Crum of Naples, Florida.

After the sudden passing of her sister-in-law, Marguerite, Betty became a mother to her niece, Joyce (Shofstahl) Curtis. Betty is also survived by Joyce (Steve) Curtis of Northwood, her daughter, Jenny (Richard) McAvoy of Rossford and Joyce's grandson, Jack Wagener of Rossford.

Betty was a 1951 graduate of Melmore High School and worked for 24 years at the USDA Farm Service Agency, formally known as the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service office. She was also a homemaker.

Betty enjoyed watching and attending Ohio State basketball and football games. She enjoyed sewing, making crafts, puzzles, and listening to music. Above all, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, December 20, 2020; her parents, Paul and Kathryn Crum; brothers, James (Nell) and Richard Crum; and sister, Alice Mae (Ralph) Harding.

Funeral services for Betty will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025,at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin, with the Rev. Jan Kucera officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow the service at Fairmont cemetery.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Good Shepherd Home or Bridge Home Health & Hospice.
