Betty Stahl Obituary
Betty Jean Stahl, 96, of Fostoria and formerly of Bettsville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
She was born Oct. 10, 1927, in Marion, to Ralph E. and Mary J. (Fortner) Henry. She married Donald Ray Stahl on Jan. 18, 1948, in Fostoria, and he passed away March 1, 1998.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Anne Fansler of Clermont, Florida, Judy Ann (Terry) Engle of Kansas, Vickie Sue Holbrook of Findlay, Carol Jean (Howard) Derby of South Carolina, and Kathy Lynn (John) Murphy of Missouri; 17 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded by her parents; brothers, Carl and Ralph Henry; and sister, Catherine Sours.
Betty retired in 1985 as a LPN working at Tiffin Mercy Hospital. She was a 1946 graduate of Fostoria High School and attended Bowling Green School of nursing. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Bettsville. Betty was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital in Fremont and Fremont Chapter #133 Order of Eastern Star. Betty loved spending time with her family.
Betty's funeral will be 12 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Chaplain John Ballinger officiating. Burial will be at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
