Carlo Penninella Obituary

Carlo Penninella, aged 84, of El Dorado Hills, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2025, after bravely facing a long struggle with dementia.

Carlo was born on January 13, 1941, (on paper it’s the 20th, but the official date is the 13th) in a small village near Florence, Italy, born to Antonio and Rosa Penninella. At 13, he moved to Florence to pursue an apprenticeship in tailoring. After mastering the trade he continued working as a tailor in Florence.

In 1968, Carlo met Kathy (Kathleen), his first wife, and together they welcomed two children, Giancarlo and Danielle.

Carlo found love again in 1993 when he married Hortense Maria. They shared 31 wonderful years filled with travel, love, and happiness.

Carlo was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Rosa, his first wife Kathleen, his brothers Donato and Giuseppe, and his sister Maria. He leaves behind his devoted wife Hortense Maria, his son Giancarlo, his daughter Danielle, his granddaughter Marlena, his grandson’s Gabriel and Raiden (Ryden), and his sister Margarita.
