Carmela Hartenstein Obituary
Carmela "Rose" Hartenstein, 86, of Tiffin, died at 1:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, at The Willows at Tiffin.
She was born Oct. 15, 1938, in Tiffin to Nicola and Maria (Monaco) Patuto. She married Stephen L. Hartenstein on Nov. 16, 1957, in Tiffin, and he died April 8, 2021.
Surviving are three sons, David (Sally) Hartenstein of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, Steven "Danny" (Sandy) Hartenstein of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Douglas (Vicki) Hartenstein of Tiffin; three daughters, Dianna (John) Queen of North Canton, Donna (John) Luedy of Mansfield, and Dora (Brett) Graham of Attica; 14 grandchildren, Eric, Craig, Sarah, Mary, Will, Whitney, Parker, Andrew, Logan, Jacquelyn, Madalyn, Peyton, Ryann and Megann; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine Patuto of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Pasquale Patuto; and a granddaughter, Erinn Elizabeth Hartenstein.
Carmela was a 1956 graduate of Calvert High School. She was a wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and sister. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883. (419)447-3113.
Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Calvert Catholic Schools.
