Carol M. (Kennedy) Willson, 62, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 20, 2023, at her home in Cleveland.

Carol was a most devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Carol was born Jan. 25, 1961, in Tiffin, to Daniel and Mary Ellen Kennedy. She married Nathan Willson on Oct. 10, 1992, and they later divorced.

Carol is survived by her children, Danielle (Dani) and Noah, both of Cleveland; mother of Tiffin; siblings, Sue (Mike) Reser of Tiffin, Lucy (Mike) Cramer of Ottawa, and Patrick (Katie) Kennedy of Marshalltown, Iowa; nephews and nieces, Steve Reser, Laura Hill, Julie Rutkowski, Doug Cramer, Corinne Cramer, Brigid Kennedy, and Joe Kennedy; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her son, Ian; father Dan; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Corinne Kennedy; maternal grandparents, John and Florence Scherger; and nephew, Tim Cramer.

Carol was a member of Fraternal Order of Police, having retired from the North Olmsted police department. She was proud to have been the first-ever female patrolman on the force. After her retirement, Carol enjoyed working in the bookstore at St. Edward High School in Lakewood.

As a 1983 graduate of The Ohio State University, she was an avid OSU Buckeyes fan.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Tomon and Son Funeral Home, 4772 Pearl Road, Cleveland. Carol's funeral will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4170 N. Amber Dr., Brooklyn, with the Rev. Michael Feldtz officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

The family requests that donations may be made to American Heart Association or to Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
