Carolyn Jean Marquardt

Carolyn Jean Marquardt, 74, of Fostoria, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025, at Independence House, Fostoria. She was born January 27, 1951, in Fostoria to Robert Lee & Jean (Groves) Marquardt.

She is survived by sisters, Susan (Dan) St. Clair of Fostoria and Pam Rouch of Melmore.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Virginia Lynn Smith.

Carolyn was a member of Fostoria Baptist Church. She graduated from Fostoria High School, earned a master's degree, and later graduated from nursing school. She was a member of the Transplant Council of the Rockies and Head Injury Foundation. She was a Sunday school teacher and choir director. She was lead singer and played rhythm guitar in the band "Circuit Rides" Carolyn also lived in Nigeria and traveled in Africa as a Missionary Nurse. Carolyn was loved by her church family, especially friends, Liz Sherick and Marla Stiger. Her family and friends would like to thank the staff at Independence House for all their care.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Fostoria Baptist Church, Fostoria, with Pastor Ken Dady officiating. She will be buried privately at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.
