Carson Zender Obituary
Carson Eugene Lee Zender, 21, of Risingsun, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, in Greensburg, Kentucky.
He was born Nov. 3, 2003, in Fostoria to Cory J. Zender and Leslie E. Barlekamp, and they survived.
Also surviving are two brothers, Collin Zender and Dylan Wyant; a sister, Aubrey Vitte; stepmother, Amber Ginnever; maternal stepgrandparents, Martin (Leasia) Ginnever; paternal great-grandparent, Patricia Anderson; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Sandra Zender; maternal grandparents, Donald Barlekamp and Janet (Larry) Markle; aunts and uncles, Carli (Thomas) Middleton, Cayla (Tony Robbins) Zender, Chris Barlekamp and Michael Barlekamp; nieces and nephews, Connor, Carter, McKenna, Amelia and Benson; and many great aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Harold Anderson and Eugene Zender; and great-grandmothers, Doris "Tiny" Zender, Pauline "Polly" Barlekamp and Sarah Dotson; and nephew, Vincent Middleton.
Carson was a 2022 graduate of Lakota High School where he played on the football team. He was currently employed at Barton-Malow (construction company) where he deeply loved being with his co-workers during and outside of work. His co-workers became part of his family. He loved all genres of music, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, riding dirt bikes, four-wheelers, lifting weights, hunting and shooting. Carson also enjoyed attending truck pulls with his dad and brothers and spending time with his family and friends.
Carson had a contagious vibrant smile that could light up any dark room. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
Visitation is from noon-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830, where the funeral service will take place at 6 p.m. with Pastor Brad Kehn, presiding.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
