Cassandra "Cassie" deJonge

Cassandra "Cassie" deJonge, 58, of Republic, died suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023.

She was born March 13, 1965, to Fred and Geraldene deJonge.

Cassie lived her life by the motto "here for a good time, not a long time." She will be remembered for her rock-and-roll attitude and her unforgettable laugh. Cassie loved traveling, fishing, thrifting, watching Pittsburgh Steelers, and family game nights. She was loved and will truly be missed.

She leaves behind daughters, Heather Wilken of New Orleans, Louisiana, Elizabeth (Jeff) Turner of Sandusky, and Krystina (Ben) Wilken of Bradford, New York; son, Peter Wilken of Cleveland; sisters, Jill Green and Robin Lather; grandchildren, Carsen, Eli, Trey, Austin, Julian, and Delta Faye; and many close friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chuck deJonge; and grandson, Gavin Larrison.

Cassie's celebration of life dinner will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at American Legion hall in Republic. The family invites all friends and family to attend.
