Charles W. Andrews
Age 50, of Hobart passed away Friday, October 17, 2025. He was born on May 13, 1975, to the late Charles and Christine (nee Archer) Andrews Sr. In Gary, Indiana. Charles was a devoted father, a hard worker and a loyal friend. He worked as a manager at McDonalds. Charles had a love for Star Trek, Sci Fi movies and his faithful dog, Tank, who was never far from his side. Above all, Charles cherished spending time with his children. Those who know him know he had an extremely hard time dealing with the death of his daughter, McKenzie, in July. Being the loving father he was, he stood strong and handled all the details of her untimely passing meanwhile his heart was breaking. On that Friday he died of a broken heart.
His heart was always bigger than his wallet. With never really having much, he gave of his time. Always there to help you fix your car, your house and even your computer while never asking for anything in return. He would always say "It's what we do for each other".
Charles is survived by his two sons, Trenton Andrews and Logan Andrews, brother, Brian (Rebecca) Andrews; two nephews, James Andrews and Isaac Andrews; aunts, Karen (Bob) Kauffman, Debbie Archer, Marci Pezan, and Pam (Herschel) Denham; uncle, Gary Andrews who he loved to hunt with; his children’s mother, Kathleen (Brad) Easto, many cousins and other loving family members and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, McKenzie Andrews, his parents, two aunts, Jeanine Lucich and Grace Biedenbender.
