Fred was a 1965 graduate of Sycamore Mohawk High School and was a member of Sycamore United Church of Christ. Fred devoted himself to working on the family farm. He was a dairy and crop farmer. In his earlier years, Fred was a member of Ohio Young Farmers. Fred always started off his day with his morning cup of coffee before heading into the fields or tending to his dairy herd. Fred was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, loved fishing, hunting, playing a good round of golf, or watching old western movies. He also enjoyed spending time in Canada relaxing with a fishing pole in his hand. Fred took great pride in his family. He volunteered to coach his children's sporting events and would help anyone, especially his family, in a time of need.
