Charles W. Daughenbaugh

Charles W. Daughenbaugh, 78, of Republic, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, at Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Aug. 27, 1945, in Fostoria, to Cletus and Helen (Nye) Daughenbaugh. He married his high school sweetheart on July 10, 1962, at Trinity E.U.B. Church in Republic.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda of Republic; daughter, Janine Moore of Tiffin; grandchildren, Kennedy (Dave) Shane of Fremont and Reece and Ashton Moore, both of Tiffin; stepgrandchildren, Kyla (Allan) Vega, Kiehra Moore, and Vivian Marcano, all of Tiffin; great-granddaughter, Maliyah Moore; stepgreat-grandchildren, Jonathan (JJ) and Katalina Santos and Hadassah Vega; daughter-in-law, Gilda Daughenbaugh; brothers, Cletus (Connie) Daughenbaugh and Larry and Ronald Daughenbaugh, all of Tiffin; sisters, Sharon Breese, Deb Daughenbaugh, and Rachael Kimble, all of Fostoria, and Beverly (Jim) Myers of Clyde; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; brothers, Robert and Raymond Daughenbaugh; and sisters, Geraldine Lenz, Gloria Meyers, and infant twin sisters Margaret and Mary Daughenbaugh.

He attended Scipio-Republic High School. Charles was an active member of Republic Trinity United Methodist Church where he served as Trustee chairperson. He coached little league baseball in his younger years. He was an avid fan of Cleveland (Indians) Guardians, Cleveland Browns, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Charles was owner, president, and CEO of Quick Tab II, Tiffin, a company he built from scratch in 1989 and today is a thriving and prosperous printing company. He was also the owner of Shelby Printing and Diversified Graphics. He was awarded the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award in 2005 for Quick Tab II from SIEDC.

His most cherished times were when he was with his family. He especially loved attending his grandchildren's recitals, sporting, and school events. He never missed one.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 SR 19, Bloomville. Charles' funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Charlene Thomas officiating. Burial will follow services Wednesday at Farewell Retreat Cemetery in Republic.

Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.

I remember when Chuck lived with me and my family when his families house burned down on State Route 19. We were in high school and Chuck came to live with us for a while and I always felt like he was another brother to me. He was such a good person and I know he will be missed.
