Charles D. Lynch

Charles D. Lynch, 75, of Fremont, Ohio, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at Firelands Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Charles was born July 15, 1947, to the late Ralph and Alma (Auck) Lynch. He was a 1965 graduate of Old Fort High School. After high school, Charles served in U.S. Coast Guard and then worked at Autolite in Fostoria where he retired after 35 years.

Anyone in the presence of Charles knew that he had a huge heart, would do anything for anyone, and always put others before himself. Charles loved his family more than anything in the world, and attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events. He was a huge Michigan fan, avid supporter of Fremont Ross sports, enjoyed fishing, and taking a drive for no reason at all.

Left to cherish Charles' memory are his son, Anthony Lynch of Fremont; daughters, Teri (Lynch) Combs of Marblehead and Kristina (Gilbert) Brionez of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Tyler Lynch, Taylor (Shawn) Lynch, Kassandra Combs, Mason (Olivia) Combs, Brett Combs, Derek Alejandro, Darrion Walker, Karalina Rojas, and Gilbert Brionez Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kaizer, Karter, Charlotte, Amelia, Stella, and Jasper; sister, Phyliss Boyd of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; brother, James (Sharon) Lynch of Fort Seneca; brother-in-law, Ned Smith of Seabrook Island, South Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Smith; and brother, Robert (Nancy) Lynch.
