CHARLES LEON SHUFF

Charles Leon "Chuck" Shuff, 65, of New Cumberland, PA, formerly of Tiffin, died Thursday, June 9, 2022, at the University Of Pittsburgh Hospital, Harrisburg, PA. He was born January 21, 1957, in DeKalb, Illinois, to Kenneth Charles and Lois Marie (Popwell) Shuff. He married Sharon Sue Steinhauser, September 15, 2007, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and she survives.

Survivors include his mother, Lois Shuff of Tiffin; children, Candace (Curtis) Engel of Hilliard, Ohio, Cisa (Richard) Knoch of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Charles L. (Heather) Shuff, of London, England, and Ashley Fox of Lewisberry, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren; four sisters, Donna (Frank) Walters of Richmond Hill, Georgia, Judy (Troy) Olson of Woodstock, Georgia, Sharon Waters of Tiffin, and Sandra (Delmar) Swander of Maumee;

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Shuff, and a brother-in-law, Dan Waters.

Charles was a 1975 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, and was a long-time grocery manager. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League, Tiffin.

Charles was known as "Chuck, Dad, Papa Shuff, and Leon" depending on the company. He was a dedicated and hard worker, a sweets connoisseur, he volunteered for the Ohio State Patrol Auxiliary Unit. He loved The Ohio State Buckeyes football and head scratches, and was an on and off-road enthusiast- willing to drive hundreds of miles and even up the occasional sand dune for friends and family. Charles was an outstanding son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, protector of those he loved. He will be forever in our hearts.

Visitation for family and friends will be10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. The funeral will follow at the funeral home with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.
