Charlotte Phillips Obituary
Charlotte M. Phillips, 81, of Attica, passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital.
Charlotte was born June 19, 1941, in Reed Twp., Seneca County, to the late Edward and Matilda (Miller) Smith. She married Dale Phillips on Sept. 16, 1961, in Republic, and he preceded her in death May 27, 2015.
Charlotte's survivors include two children, Marvin Phillips of Middletown, Ohio, and Deanna Phillips of Fremont; six grandchildren, Chelsea Arndt, Cheyenne Rathbun, Zach Cundiff, Zoe Phillips, Zaya Phillips, and Jesse Phillips; Neely and Noelle Rathbun, who she was the proud great-grandmother "Gigi" to; brother, Frank (Rita) Smith of Altona, Illinois; and sister, JoAnn Bowman of Tiffin.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Glenn E. Phillips.
She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Attica, and graduate of Attica High School. Charlotte was a former employee of Distal Meats and Smith Family Foods, Tiffin. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed her goats and baking her special waffle cookies.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Attica, with the Rev. Joseph P. Joseph officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Attica. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville, and the Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Cancer Specialists or F.A.CT. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.shookfamilyfh.com.
