Cheryl Lynn Rubel

Cheryl Lynn Rubel, 51, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital.

She was born March 20, 1971, in Portsmouth, to Robert L. and Bessie (Garner) Rubel and is survived by a brother, Richard (Daisy) Rubel of Tennessee; sisters, Mary (Michael) Mullins and Sandra Ruble, of Florida; nephew, David Garner Jr.; cousin, Carol McAfee of Fostoria; 13 nieces and nephews; and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, David L. Garner Sr.

Cheryl was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Tiffin, where she attended the weekly friendship class, and enjoyed gospel music and going to gospel sings. She played Bocci ball and competed in the Special Olympics, and also enjoyed bowling and had participated in leagues in the past.

A very hard worker, Cheryl was an assembler at Opportunity Center, Seneca Re-Ads, Fostoria Division, and was on the Unity Council for the Center. She was a member of Action Club (a developmental and disabled version of the Kiwanis Club). She played games on her tablet, loved her cats and feeding the ducks, and spending time with her friends. She was a quiet person with many words.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, at MANN-HARE-HOENING Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, 44830, with Cheryl's service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Her sister-in-law, Daisy Rubel, will officiate.

Burial will take place at Quinshan Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
