Christopher Dennis Murphy

Christopher Murphy passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, love, and friendship. He will always be remembered as a man who never met a stranger and always knew how to make you laugh when you needed it the most. He also will be remembered for his deep friendship to so many people from Tiffin to Orlando, Florida and everywhere in between.

The passion that Christopher lived his life with was obvious from the moment you first spoke with him. It was even more evident on Saturday afternoons in the fall when HIS Ohio State Buckeyes were playing. He also loved his dogs over the years, collecting and building Star Wars Lego sets, doing puzzles, and his work as a bartender for over 25 years of his fantastic life.

Christopher enjoyed traveling when he had the time and driving his yellow Jeep. He also loved to tinker and work on his Jeep and never met a challenge he wasn't afraid to try. He was also the man who would have given the shirt off his back for someone in need.

Christopher leaves behind his mother, Sharon Gosche (Tom Wurm) of Tiffin; dad, Dennis Murphy of Tiffin; sister, Shanon Murphy-Wickersham (Nathan) of Bloomington, Indiana; sister, Lori Elchert (Dave) of Tiffin; brother, Bryan Gase (Sarah) of Memphis, Tennessee; nieces, Alyssa Brimmer and Macy Wickersham; and nephews, Drew and Luke Ritzler.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold Gosche and Willa Melick; and stepfather, Lester Gase.

Christopher's generous spirit can be honored and carried on by making donations to the Tiffin Columbian High School boys and girls basketball programs.

Christopher's celebration of life will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, at the American Legion in Tiffin.
