Corey Yates Obituary
Corey A. Yates, 36, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born January 9, 1989, in Tiffin to Darlene A. Allbaugh.
He is survived by his brother, John Yates of Tiffin; niece, Sydney Allbaugh of Alabama; aunt, Connie Murphy of Tiffin; cousin and his rock, Christie Cole of Tiffin; best friend, Nevaeh Keckler of Tiffin; and the many children in his home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene A. Allbaugh; brother, Michael Allbaugh; grandparents, M. June Steinmetz and Darl Allbaugh; aunt, Tammy Dewald; and uncle, Steve Allbaugh.
Corey graduated in 2011 from the School of Opportunity. He enjoyed going to "Day Hab" at Preferred Pathways and was a sorter at the Opportunity Center. He was ornery and loved to be mischievous. Corey enjoyed going to Cedar Point, parks, walks, being outdoors and stealing your cookies and brownies.
His funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to School of Opportunity.
