Cynthia Ann Davis

Cynthia Ann Davis of Fostoria passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital under Bridge Hospice care.

She was born Feb. 9, 1947, in Fostoria, to Charles and Norma Hunker. Cynthia married Gary Davis on Sept. 20, 1969, in Fostoria, and he survives.

She graduated from Fostoria High School in 1965 and retired from Kuss Corp. of Findlay in 2002.

Cynthia is also survived by her daughter, Tracey (Randy) Crider; two grandchildren, Taylor (Selena) Crider and Serra Crider; four great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Thompson of Fostoria; and dog, Nelly Bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Norma; and sister, Christine.

Cynthia's first love was horses so at the age of 14, she told her parents she wanted a horse, so they told her to get a job and earn the money. At 16, she had enough money to purchase her first horse, so for the next 54 years she lived her dream. Cynthia also raised, bred, and showed Great Danes for 10 years and even had some going to Madison Square Garden in New York. She even squeezed in sailing trips to the Bahamas and the Dry Tortugas Islands. Cynthia also loved camping and traveling.

Cynthia's funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Mark Self officiating. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, at a later date.

The family requests any memorial donations be made to Bridge Hospice.
