Dale E. Chester

Dale E. Chester, 75, of rural Sycamore, died at 3:55 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. He was born September 15, 1950, in Kenton, to Donald and Kathryn (Baker) Chester. He married Dona (Jacoby), Chester August 16, 1980, and she died November 15, 1992.

Surviving are the following brothers and sister, Danny (Mary) Chester, Pataskala, Dave (Mary Beth) Chester, rural Sycamore, Denny (Lu) Chester, rural Sycamore, Diane Beidelschies, Upper Sandusky, and Doug (Jean) Chester, rural Sycamore.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie and Delbert Chester, besides his parents.

Dale was a retired forklift operator for Toledo Mold and Die for over 30 years. He was a 1968 graduate of Mohawk High School and was also a member of Sycamore American Legion Post No. 250. He served our country in the United States Navy from 1970-1974 in the Vietnam Era on the USS McKean.

For hobbies, Dale collected all kinds of baseball cards, loved to watch Detroit Tigers and played a lot of softball in his spare time.

Memorial service for Dale will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin, where Seneca County Veterans Council will conduct a military graveside service. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2025, prior to memorial service at the funeral home.
