Dale Illig Obituary
Illig
Dale Robert Illig, 60, of Tiffin, died at 12:36 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
Dale was born Sept. 22, 1962, in Lima, to Leonard J. and Bernadette M. (Parrish) Illig. His mother survives in Tiffin.
Dale is also survived by a son, Luke Illig of Bowling Green; brother, Curt Illig of Tiffin; two sisters, Kim (Dan) Lucius of Tiffin and Lynn Ann (John) Holmes of Toledo; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Dale was a 1980 graduate of Calvert High School, served in U.S. Air Force from 1985-1992, and worked at National Machinery and Ameriwood Industries, where he was an administrator of network security. He worked with the Boy Scouts of America and was a very avid outdoorsman.
Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, 419-447-3113. Dale's memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

To the Illig family -so sorry to hear of Dales passing. So many years ago we had several runners who would train out N.W. of Tiffin .We would call ourselves the Tyber Road Runners and Dale was a special member of that group. All of us that trained out there will always remember Dale and he will hold a special place in our memories and our hearts. Rest in Peace Dale John/Darlene Lockard Pemberville

To the Illig family, my sincere condolences to you all during this difficult time. Dale and I shared some very good times while distance running in High School, while playing music in our "garage band"... and we served together in the Ohio Air National Guard/USAF reserve in Zanesville Oh. Rest in peace Dale... until we meet again.
