Dale Wagner

Dale L. Wagner, 87, of Sycamore, died at 8:40 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, at home.

He was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Seneca County, to Howard and Catherine (Scott) Wagner. He married Shirley (Ownings) on April 12, 1958, and she survives.

Dale is also survived by his children, Jeff (Carla) Wagner of rural Sycamore, Craig (Crystal) Wagner of rural Sycamore, and Mark (Amy) Wagner of Perrysburg; and six grandchildren, Jody Satyanathan, Andrew Wagner, Karen Wagner, Kayla Wagner, Madison Wagner, and Paul Satyanathan.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Hall and Martha Wagner; and three brothers, William, Grant, and James Wagner.

Dale was a retired farmer, attended Christ Church of Tiffin, and was a 1954 graduate of Melmore High School.

For hobbies, Dale loved to play cards. He played in a lot of card clubs over the years. He loved to work in his shop making crafts and do woodworking. Dale loved to attend all of his grandchildren's school events. Dale also served his country in U.S. Army from 1955-1957.

Dale's memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Christ Church of Tiffin with the Rev. Mark Hassler officiating. Seneca County Veterans Council will conduct a military service at the church Saturday. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
