David Carter Obituary
David Lynn Carter, 61, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away at 6:49 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, at his home.
He was born March 2, 1962, in Salem, Oregon, to Charles L. and Nadine G. (Witcraft) Carter, who preceded him in death. He married Elizabeth A. Macias on Oct. 1, 1999, and she survives in Springfield. Elizabeth is the daughter of the late Charlie and Marge Macias.
David is also survived by a brother, Charles A. (Kim) Carter of Springfield, Oregon; brother-in-law, John C. (Laura) Macias of Westerville; nieces, Ember (Joshua) Youngblood of Oak Harbor, Washington, and Megan Carter of Junction City, Oregon; nephews, Trevyn Carter of Oak Harbor, Washington, Charlie (Montana) Macias of Columbus, Alex Macias of Columbus, and Kevin Macias of Westerville; and five grandnieces and grandnephews.
David was a project superintendent in construction and enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Alaska. He was an avid outdoorsman and liked exploring state and national parks.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830. A prayer service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at the funeral home with Deacon Paul Feasel presiding. A luncheon will follow the service in the lower level of the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Wendelin Catholic Cemetery.
