David Ross "Dave" Dow

David "Dave" Dow, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday evening, January 11, 2026, at The Willows at Tiffin.

Dave was born October 2, 1936, in Tiffin, to Robert H. and Marion M. (McIntyre) Dow.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Gerald Dow; and sisters, Mary Kreim, Alice Bonfiglio, and Eileen Munson.

Dave is survived by his wife, Jane; son, David E.; stepson, James Ruehle; grandchildren, Joshua, Gabriella, Abrianna; and sisters, Jane Ewald and Laura (Ken) Klepacz.

After graduating from Calvert High School in 1954, he furthered his education, obtaining his bachelor of arts degree from Heidelberg College. Dave proudly served his country in the United States Navy and thoroughly loved his time at sea on the USS Hancock. He served from 1959-1966 and retired as a lieutenant.

Following his military service, he was employed at Rose Motor Sales. Dave enjoyed snowmobiling, RVing, splitting wood with his neighbor, Sam, and his John Deere mower.

Private family services have taken place.
