David Hoffert Obituary
David Morris Hoffert, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at The Willows at Tiffin.
He was born January 25, 1937, in Tiffin, to Morris and Miriam (Konkle) Hoffert. On August 20, 1960, he married Faith J. Breighner.
Survivors include his wife, Faith J. Hoffert of Tiffin; son, Paul (Holly) Hoffert of Fostoria; daughter, Melinda (Ted) Wolowicz of Springfield, Tennessee; brother, Phillip (Robin) Hoffert; sister, Anna Jean (Roger) Wadsworth of Medina; grandchildren, Nicole (Brittany) Wheeler-Wolowicz of Nashville, Tennessee, and Corinne (Justin Barr) Wolowicz of White House, Tennessee; and special cousin, Sara Kessler.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David was a 1955 graduate of Columbian High School. He served in the United States Army from 1960-1962. He worked at American Standard as a caster, where he also served as secretary of IBOP Local No. 7 for many years. David was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, a Cincinnati Reds fan, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and classic cars, and took great pride in and loved his granddaughters.
There will be no services. Burial will be private at Seneca Memory Gardens.

My sympathy to Faith and the rest of David´s Family. We had many friendly visits at family reunions, but my best recollection of David occurred when we were about 5 years old. We lived 1/2 block away on Wentz Street and played together many days. David had a nice backyard playhouse where we could be adventurous young boys and keep fun secrets. David´s generosity was shown via a birthday present he gave me which was a Donald Duck comic book. It was such a vibrant, funny comic book and I remember it to this day. David was a true friend to many and a great cousin to me. Prayers to everyone...Tom Hoffert
