Deanna M. Steinhauser

Deanna M. Steinhauser, 85, of Tiffin, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at Elmwood at The Shawhan.

She was born January 22, 1940, in Fostoria, to Troy K. and Opal M. (Rhoad) Smith.

Deanna is survived by her two sons, Raymond J. (Donna) Frankart of Inverness, Florida, and Brian (Danielle) Steinhauser of Sylvania; two daughters, Teresa (Matt) SanGregory of Upper Sandusky, and Krista (Randy) Cook of Tiffin; and two sisters, Carol Niedzwiecki of Crystal River, Florida, and Marvene Vitt of Fostoria; six grandchildren, Michael (Kristi) Cook, Mark SanGregory, Tony SanGregory, Troy (Sarah) Frankart, Zack Steinhauser, and Dawn Flores; as well as six great-grandchildren, Leif, Kerrigan, Alyssa, Jasmine, Colson, and Jenifer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jodie K. Frankart; two brothers, Jerry Smith and Danny Smith; and a grandson, Jerry Murgolo.

Deanna was a 1958 graduate of Fostoria High School. She worked as a Dennison operator at Autolite in Fostoria before becoming a nurse's aide at Villa Maria in Green Springs. Deanna was a former member of Tiffin Moose Lodge.

A social butterfly, Deanna had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome, never knowing a stranger and always lighting up any room she entered. She loved playing the piano, singing, whistling songs, dancing, camping, traveling, giving shoulder and back rubs, and playing pranks. Known for her delicious pies, she was also an avid pet lover, with Loco kitty by her side. Deanna's generosity and her dedication to her family were at the heart of everything she did.

Her funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, with the Rev. Roxie Roush officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with family from 4-8 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at the funeral home.
