Dennis Everhart Obituary

Dennis Everhart

Dennis Everhart, 76, of McCutchenville, died at 3:05 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Hospice of Central Ohio at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. He was born August 6, 1949, to Gail and Helen (Gier) Everhart. He married Martha (Ronfeldt) Everhart, November 18, 1972, and she survives.

Surviving are the following children, Matt (Kim) Everhart, Fairborn, Joel (Jayme) Everhart, Tipp City, and Elyse (Matt) Cramer, rural Tiffin. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and three sisters, Margaret (Dave) Arter, Sycamore, Jane (Doug) Darrow, Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and Jo-Ann (Troy) Tanzer, Round Rock, Texas.

Dennis was preceded in death by a daughter, Aileen Everhart; a sister, Janet Jo; and his parents.

Dennis was a retired Industrial Arts teacher who taught for 30 years in the Eastwood School District. He was a 1967 graduate of Mohawk High School and a 1972 graduate of Bowling Green State University.

Denny took pride in being a member of the Sycamore American Legion Post No. 250. He collected coins, loved spending time with his grandchildren and also was very proud that he restored his father's Model T and restored from scratch a Model A with the exterior body made of tongue and groove wood. At one time, he ran a custom woodworking shop called "Wooden Reflections" in New Riegel for seven years, and later moved it to his barn, where he did all kinds of custom woodworking projects for people in the area. Denny was very talented in creating anything from wood.

Memorial service for Dennis will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2026, at Trinity United Church of Christ in McCutchenville, with his daughter, the Rev. Elyse Cramer, officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Bethel Cemetery, rural McCutchenville. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore.

Memorial contribu-tions can be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, Wyandot Cares or Healing Hands Abroad in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Sycamore, Ohio 44882.

Marty & Family - Very sad to hear that Denny left this life for the next. I ran a furniture business in Fostoria for a few years. Marty will remember! Denny completed many oak furniture pieces for the us that will be enjoyed by many generations to come. He was a friendly & easy going guy with super talent.
