A beloved Air Force Academy Classmate....
I was privileged to know Dennis on a few chance encounters and each time, I knew I was in the presence of True Genius. "Renaissance Man" in every sense, yet humble and down to earth. I deeply admired his prowess on many levels, especially his talent with guitar. Dennis was certainly unique, and he is one I would love to know in the afterlife.

Dennis made the mistake of getting to know me at his work - at the time, this was Exelis (now L3Harris). We bonded over silliness of bureaucracy, DoD in general and how the world is messy. I was honored to be a sounding board to him, and consider that he was wiling to share his initial book with me one of the greatest things of my life. Our constant exchanges were a thrill for me when we had the opportunity to talk. His impact on my life is immeasurable, and I hope that he's rocking out with the greats.

I was blessed when Den became part of my life in thexearly 80's.
He was a friend and a teacher to me, being a friend first.
What a classic.

I am so sad to hear of Dennis´s passing. My condolences to Ginny. I worked with Dennis 25 years ago on a video capture system. Due to a screw up in hotel reservations, I ended up staying with Ginny and Dennis at Eagle Rock Road. It was an amazing week that I will never forget. Amidst the work he found time to take me on a personal tour of the Air Force academy. It was a privilege to know him. RIP.

I can´t express how sad I was when I heard that Dennis had passed away. The news was shocking, as Dennis was full of life, still on mission and most importantly, loved by his wife Ginny.
I only knew Dennis for a few short years, but I feel honored and fortunate to have become friends, as he was one of the most unique people that I have ever met. Dennis had an amazing mind, many interests and hobbies and could hold in-depth conversations on just about anything.
The country lost a one-of-a-kind, true blue American patriot with Dennis´ passing, as he was intent on restoring the principles that America was founded upon. Dennis' legacy and memory will live on.
Rest in peace Dennis.

Dennis was a good friend of mine, the 13th Cadet Squadron, the United States Air Force and the nation. He was a brilliant writer and scholar. His books should be read by every American. He will be dearly missed by so many, especially his wonderful wife Ginny. His was a life well lived and he will be remembered as a good and kind man. RIP Dennis. You earned it.

Dennis was a friend and colleague in support of constitutional values. He and Ginny both gave sacrificially of their time to promote fidelity to our founding. He was brilliant in so many fields and a tireless worker for good. He will be sorely missed by friends and family and all who love freedom. Our hearts go out to Ginny. May she be comforted by the knowledge of all the good Dennis did in this world.

Dennis and I first crossed paths when we were both at the Air Force Academy - he was two years behind me and that meant he was going through SERE training when I was running the program - many stories about the "comrade provider" era. Our paths through life were interwoven around careers in the computer field - from our initial assignment to SAC headquarters (Offutt AFB, Omaha), continuing to time together at Honeywell's mainframe division, Convex, Cray Research, MCI (where he worked for my wife), and Solbourne. Dennis was one of the smartest system designers/analysts/implementers that I've known. He could tackle any problem and could cut through the fog to arrive at a solid answer.
You always knew where Dennis stood on any topic because his principles and integrity were unmatched. Lots of crazy times at beer-call, work parties, Memorial Day/4th of July BBQs, crazy schemes ... and some ill-advised projects (e.g., trying to paint a panel van). I'll preserve the memory of a life-long friend, musician, mathematician, author, researcher, programmer/analyst.
As Magee's "High Flight" poem states: "Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth ..." You will be missed my friend. Prayers for Ginny!

Wow! We lost a good one, indeed! Having a photographic memory, Dennis was easily one of the smartest persons I had ever met. His knowledge ran deep and broad. It was through his vast understanding of World Governing Systems that he had finally found his true purpose over the past few years. We were all blessed that he shared a fraction of that knowledge and, indeed his passion, on the subject as best as he could. Even though I had studied the subject in my own way over many years, I remember when his first book came out how "over my head" it was. "Typical Dennis", I thought, chuckling to myself. His intelligence was always over the top. So many times I witnessed people trying to discuss a subject when Dennis would, very politely, step in with, "wellllll, not reeaaally. Actually...." and he´d go on to provide an entire history lesson on whatever the subject was. I did my best to absorb what I could, but I don´t have that photographic memory. I will, however, never forget my friend.
Dennis and I first met in the late-80´s when we were working at Digital Equipment Corporation. (Side note - every personal computer in the world, to this day, still uses some of Dennis´s software code, be that from his time at D.E.C. or his earlier time when he worked alongside Andy Grove, founder of Intel). I had just parked my 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400 in the D.E.C. parking lot when this guy pulled up next to me in his 1972 Pontiac GTO. He had to find out who owned the old `bird! For many years afterwards, we helped each other with our car projects. I am honored to have maintained that friendship and to have shared it with my wife and Dennis´s dear wife, Ginny.
As Dennis adjusted his focus to our Republic and educating others, he drifted away from his love of playing guitar. In my 20´s, I really wanted to learn how to play the instrument. I blame Dennis for not doing that. His guitar skills were so good it was very discouraging to me! Over the past 6 or so years, I found some time and decided I would finally give it a go. Though I´ll never play nearly as good as Dennis could, it was another interest we shared. I loved picking his brain on the subject. As I got into the engineering side of the guitar, I reached out to our mutual friend, Rob DeMasters, to secretly build a Telecaster ("partscaster") for Dennis. Dennis had told me the very first guitar he ALMOST bought was a Telecaster and part of him had always wanted one since then. I selected and bought the parts for our secret build. Rob, who had previously restored Dennis´s beloved and ultra-rare 1969 GTO Judge Convertible, brilliantly painted the guitar with the leftover paint from "The Judge" restoration, even adding pinstriping to mimic the side decals. We had the pleasure of presenting the guitar to Dennis at the last July-4th celebration he and Ginny put on. To Rob and me, it was a long-overdue and special moment. So many times, over the years, Dennis had gone out of his way to help us when we needed it, we just wanted to give a little something to show our respect. To Dennis, it was completely unexpected and, from the look on his face, rather shocking. So, there we stood, a bunch of grown men trying not to cry, staring at a guitar. I´m glad the gift helped kick Dennis back into playing a little bit before his passing.
My heart goes out to Ginny, to Dennis´s brothers, and to anyone who had the pleasure of calling Dennis a friend, a coworker, a classmate, an acquaintance, or someone who had the pleasure of meeting him, if only once. Until I see him again, I will forever carry our friendship.

Alway a wave as we passed on Eagle Rock Road or at the mail box, maybe an impromptu conversation in the yard about the state of our country and the world, a brilliant mind I admired, and a wonderful neighbor for the past 20 years. Dennis, you will be greatly missed in Eagle Rock Neighborhood. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Receive his soul and present him to God the Most High.

So so sad to hear of the loss of a lifetime neighbor! I remember riding with his brothers and mother to summer religion and Saturday morning religion. I used to go to their place and be in awe with their milking cows and we had a lot of fun playing in their back yard. His parents were the best and when he suddenly lost his dad, his mother took on everything without missing a heartbeat! The neighborhood has changed some since then but it´s still the best neighborhood around! Hugs and prayers to all the family he has left behind. I am sure he will be saving a seat for his family in his new home beside his mom and dad.

I grew up with Dennis. We rode the same schoolbus for 12 years. We went to the same church. I spent New Years eve with him in 1971. His Mom was great. He was too young. Condolences to his family.

I didn't know Dennis for more than about a year, in that time we quickly became good friends, being of like mind on so many topics. I work with him at Maxar, and we enjoyed daily chats, sharing thoughts on a lot of things, agreeing a lot and laughing a lot. I am saddened at his loss, and pray for the presence of the Lord with his wife and brothers.

Kathy & I are most deeply saddened at this sudden loss of a close friend and AFA classmate, and send our heartfelt condolences to Ginny. After we retired to Las Vegas, Dennis contacted me a couple of years ago when he and Ginny came through on one of their occasional trips to visit Ginny's mom. Since then we have gotten together several times for dinner/drinks and reminiscing about our Academy friends and squadron activities. We thoroughly enjoyed these few times visiting with him and Ginny. I regret not having gotten to know D better during our Academy days, but am thankful for getting reacquainted and coming to know him recently as a good friend, classmate, patriot, musician, and brilliant writer. He was a good man and will be missed . . . Blaine & Kathy Hammond
