Dennis Smith Obituary
Dennis A. Smith, 77, of New Riegel, passed away Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at his residence after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Dennis was born June 27, 1946, in Tiffin, to Richard P. and Ruth L. (Theis) Smith. He first married Linda Kay Way and they later divorced. He then married Janice E. (King) in Tiffin on Dec. 15, 1984, and she survives in New Riegel.
He is survived by his son, Brent A. Smith of Kansas; daughter, Michelle (Tracy) Renninger of Warren; four grandchildren, Allison Smith, Zachary Aiello, Ryan Chavez, and Kimberlee Jaynes; two brothers, James (Elaine) Smith and Steven Smith, both of Tiffin; and three sisters, Linda (LeVerne) Burns, Annette (Thomas) Brill, and Laura (John) Richey, all of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dennis was a tanker driver for BP Logistics and lifelong farmer. He was a graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School.
Dennis' graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, at Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort.
Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot Memorial.
