Dennis Michael "Denny" Walter

Dennis Michael "Denny" Walter, 70, of Tiffin, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, at his residence.

Denny was born May 26, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan. At six months of age, he was so fortunate to be adopted by a very loving couple, Robert and Eileen (Smith) Walter. He married Leslie L. (Green) on July 21, 1973, in Tiffin, and she survives in Tiffin.

Denny is also survived by his children, Natalie (Marc) Coffman of Grover Hill, and Tracy (Chris) Kerschner and Kelly (Aaron) Howell, both of Tiffin; nine grandchildren, Anthony, Briley, Jack, Dylan, Calvin, Weston, Elijah, Logan, and Mari; and four sisters, Cindy, Kerry, Ellen, and Barbara.

Denny retired from ODOT and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, photography, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Tigers. Denny was a 1970 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eileen Walter; and biological parents, William "Bill" Evans and Jane (Calmes) Tlusty.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. There will be no funeral or burial at this time.
