Dennis Ward Obituary

Dennis C. Ward

Dennis C. Ward, 74 of rural Sycamore, died at 3:48 a.m. Sunday, January 18, 2026, at his daughter's residence. He was born February 9, 1951, in Bucyrus, to Claude and Louise (Kollar) Ward. He married Rebecca (Walter) Ward, and they later divorced.

Surviving are the following children, Jennifer Boyd, rural Sycamore, Dustin (Novie) Ward, rural New Riegel, Lacey (Kyle Shaw) Ward, Mt. Blanchard, and Lyndsi (Frank) Wellman, Tiffin. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, plus three sisters, Marge (Junior) Taylor, Mt. Gilead, Susan (Mike) O'Flaherty, rural Sycamore, and Deb Wyeth, rural Nevada, Ohio.

Dennis was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Ward and his parents.

Dennis was a maintenance electrician, having worked 28 years for the former Continental Hose, Upper Sandusky. He was a 1969 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and a member of First Baptist Church, Upper Sandusky.

He was an avid bowler, loved hunting and shooting his guns, doing woodworking, going to flea markets, watching the Cleveland Browns and sitting around camp fires with family and friends.

The family would like to thank Danny Vaughn for all his love and support during his later days.

Graveside service for Dennis will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, with Danny Vaughn officiating.

Memorial contribu-tions can be made to Sisters of St. Francis, Tiffin, in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Sycamore, Ohio 44882.

The family would like to invite everyone to Our Master's Chapel Fellowship Hall in Benton, after the graveside service, for lunch.
