Diane J. Borer

Diane J. Borer, 79, of New Riegel, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.

Diane was born June 16, 1946, to George H. and Louise C. (Hohman) Borer. She was a member of All Saints Parish in New Riegel and a 1964 graduate of New Riegel High School.

She worked many roles at Paul's Market, which later became Perry Street Market, in New Riegel from 1964-2025. She was a member of Moose 872 Women's Auxiliary, an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and attending her nieces and nephews' events. Diane also enjoyed playing cards and trips to Amish Country with family and friends.

Diane is survived by her brothers, Edward (Trish) Borer, of Grand Rapids, Ohio, and Daniel (Elaine) Borer, of New Riegel; sister, Eileen (Vic) Schuerman, of Pemberville; many nieces and nephews and was particularly close to Ryan, Jason, Kyle, Lindsay, and Shawn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Borer, Gerald Borer, and Donald Borer; and sisters, Nancy Lucius and Dorothy Kuhn.

Her Mass of Christian burial will begin at noon Thursday, March 5, 2026, at All Saint Parish in New Riegel, with the Rev. Timothy Kumerer officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, plus from 11 a.m. until time of Mass Thursday, March 5, 2026, at All Saints Parish.

Her burial will take place at St. Boniface Cemetery.
