Doris Ann Williams

Doris Ann Williams, 84, of New Riegel, died at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024, at The Willows at Tiffin.

She was born Nov. 24, 1939, in Tiro, to George and Mary (Durnwald) Lucius. She married Richard Williams on April 8, 1961, in North Auburn, and he survives.

Doris' other survivors include three sons, Thomas (Paula Duran) Williams of Tiffin, and John (Leslie) Williams and David (Shelly) Williams, both of New Riegel; five daughters, Donna (Steve) Frank and Norma (Rick) Steiner, both of Tiffin, Susan (Roger) Steinmetz of Bellevue, Rose (Bruce) Gunner of Maumee, and Debra (Jerry) Hanna of Alvada; 20 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren with three on the way; and four brothers, Herbert, Kenneth (Cathy), and Norman (Gerri) Lucius, all of New Washington, and Robert Lucius of Shelby.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph and George Lucius Jr.; and sister, Joan Wise.

Doris was a graduate of New Washington High School. She was a homemaker and cook for Kiwanis Manor and St. Catherine's Care Center, both in Tiffin. She was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, its Rosary Altar Society, Young Farm Wives, and New Riegel Moose. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities, playing cards, and spending time with family.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-3113. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Visitation will also be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, until the time of funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Parish, New Riegel. The Rev. Ron Schock will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Frenchtown.
