Dorothy Heyman Obituary
Dorothy J. Heyman, 85 of Holly, Michigan, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025.
She was born June 13, 1939, in Marion, Michigan, to Floyd and Ethel (Hunt) Burge. She formerly lived in Tiffin, Ohi, until July of 2022, when she moved to Holly, Michigan.
She married David L. Heyman Sr., January 14, 1959, they were married for 55 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Heyman Sr.; her parents, Floyd and Ethel Burge; daughter, Mary Catherine Atwell; and brothers, Robert, Darwin, and Phil; as well as her sisters, Vicki and Peggy.
She is survived by her daughter, Dora Heyman; son, David Heyman Jr. (Nancy); son, Ronald Heyman (Mary Lou); grandsons, David Heyman III (Mara) and James Atwell (Victoria); and great-granddaughter, Isabell Atwell. Several stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with their children.
She was a school crossing guard for 34 years in Tiffin School system.
Dorothy loved to knit and crochet and could make anything without a pattern. She was a passionate reader, bowler, and a longtime Cleveland Indians fan.
Her face would light up whenever her nieces, Terrie and Amber, and her children, Karmell, Brayden, and Stella, came to visit.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit the family from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Foundation or a charity of your choice.
