Douglas R. Kraft

Douglas R. Kraft, 68, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center.

He was born May 25, 1955, in Tiffin, to Carl F. and Janet (Cromley) Kraft. He married Lea Compston on Feb. 22, 2002.

Douglas' survivors include his mother, Janet (James) Kraft-Cook of Tiffin; wife, Lea Kraft of Tiffin; son, Dustin (Emily) Kraft of Tiffin; stepson, Jonathan (Maranda) Nichols of Tiffin; sister, Linda (Dan) Hoerig of Tiffin; and grandchild, Brantley Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl F. Kraft.

Douglas retired from American Standard after 30 years. He currently was a member of New Riegel Moose Lodge 872 and past member of Tiffin AmVets Post 48 and Bettsville AmVets. Douglas was an avid bowler, bowling for the American Standard Torpedoes, winning many awards. He enjoyed watching Sprint Car racing and earned the nickname "Waterboy" for watering down the track for many years at the Attica Speedway. Douglas also enjoyed camping in Upper Sandusky, riding his motorcycle to rally's and around the lake, going out to eat, and loved his four cats.

There will not be any services.
