Edward E. "Ed" Pletcher

Edward E. "Ed" Pletcher, 52, of Bloomville, passed away Sunday morning, May 28, 2023, in the emergency room at Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital.

He was born June 30, 1970, in Tiffin, one of seven children. He married Brenda Hartson on June 30, 2018.

Ed's survivors include his wife, Brenda of Bloomville; son, Eddie (Chelsea) Pletcher of Bloomville; daughter, Hayley (Dan) Hadden of Columbus; stepsons, Patric Carter of Tiffin, Andrew Carter of Toledo, and John Nelson II of Bloomville; stepdaughters, Stacy Hartson and Mary Hartson, both of Bloomville; 10 grandchildren; and special friend, Brandon Davis.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Linda and Robert Adams; and dog, Jeffrey.

Ed graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1989 and worked at Ameriwood for many years. He was known for being a jokester, liked listening to rock music, sitting on the front porch with his family and friends drinking beer, and watching football with his son. He was a Dallas Cowboys, University of Michigan, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Bulls fan.

Ed's funeral will be 12 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Tom Kagy officiating. There will be no burial at this time.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
