Eileen was a very talented artist who enjoyed sewing, painting, crocheting, doing crafts of all sorts, and sharing her talents with others brought her happiness, especially teaching the aides at Independence House. She was a 4-H advisor for over 15 years followed her family's craft of growing large gardens and beautiful flowers. Many delicious meals were enjoyed by the visiting nieces and nephews.

Eileen was also a member of New Riegel American Legion Auxiliary.
