Elaine M. Perry

Elaine M. Perry, 66, of Tiffin, peacefully passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at her residence surround by her family.

Elaine was born Nov. 25, 1956, in Lima, to the late Robert and Betty (Lammers) Recker. She married Thomas I. Perry Jr. on June 17, 1978, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Riegel and he survives in Tiffin.

Elaine is also survived by her children, Andrea (Mark) Ewald of Tiffin, Kristen (Ryan) Reisiger of Columbus, and Daniel (Christine) Perry of Richfield; two grandchildren, Aiden Ewald and Hope (Noah) Gibson; three brothers, Roy (Kim) Recker of Tiffin, Richard (Amy) Recker of Tiffin, and Kenneth (Michelle) Recker of Sandusky; three sisters, Mary Jo (Bob) Welter of McCutchenville, Carol Crow of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Teresa (Brad) Lonsway of Marblehead; and sister-in-law, Barb Recker of Tiffin. Elaine is also survived by many grand doggies and kitties.

Elaine was a microbiologist at Tiffin Mercy Hospital and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin. She was a member of Wood County Chapter of Ohio Horesman's Council, and enjoyed trail riding, horseback riding, being a founding member and volunteer for Freedom Trails Therapeutic Riding, traveling, animals, family and friends, dancing, and listening to music. Elaine earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Microbiology from Bowling Green State University.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David and Greg Recker; sister, Barbie Recker; and brother-in-law, Dean Crow.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass at the church. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Burial will follow services Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
