Elizabeth Bayer Obituary

Elizabeth A. Bayer

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Elizabeth Ann Bayer announce her passing Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023. After a long, hard battle with atypical melanoma, Beth passed peacefully at Tiffin Rehabilitation.

Beth is survived by her parents, Neil and Barbara (Stoldt) Bayer of Attica; two sisters that will miss her dearly, Jo Bayer of Cuyahoga Falls and Cassie Bayer of Amherst; three children that will miss her, Madalyn (22) and Jorja Diesch (17) of Bloomville and Owen (20) (Rikki Cook) of Tiffin; partner, Brennen Schleter of Fostoria; and Brennen's parents, Dennis and Cecelia (Brickner) Schleter of Fostoria.

Beth graduated from Seneca East High School in 1996 and continued her education at Ohio State ATI, graduating with an associates degree in Animal Science. Post graduation, she joined the team at Seneca County Soil and Water Conservation District as their educator and outreach coordinator. In 2015, Beth took on the role of office administrator. She has dedicated 22 years of service to Seneca County. Beth was passionate about education for all as she served the community on Buckeye Central school board for several years. She also ran the beloved "Aunt Mim's Kitchen" for 14 years, supplying many with her cookies and candies. Beth was, and continues to be, an amazing mother, friend, daughter, sister, and coworker.

She was strong, brave, stubborn, loving, and resilient. She had a passion for mental health awareness, was an advocate for a "green" earth, and loved fiercely. Her love for children has been passed on to her kids. Beth loved travel, she took her three children all over the U.S., teaching them about how big the earth is and encouraging them to explore. One of her favorite places on earth was "The Lake" and many summers were spent there beachcombing for sea glass and laughing with the people she loved most.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville. Beth's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at the funeral home. A meal will follow at Bloomville Community Center.

A memorial gift in honor of Beth, for her children, may be made through the funeral home or Sutton Bank.
