Elizabeth Jeanette Brady-Powers

Elizabeth Jeanette "Liz" Brady-Powers, 92, passed away Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at her home.

She was born June 7, 1932, in Valley Creek, Tennessee, to William and Ella (Mohan) Brady. She married Jimmy Powers on June 21, 1947, in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Dennis (Connie) Powers and Ronnie (Marion) Powers; daughters, Geneve Lowe, Jeanette (Victor) Schick, and Jeannie (Bruce Nolan) Powers Rivera; grandchildren, Ronald Lowe, Joni (Jason) McCloud, Rhonda (Marc) Feasel, Daniel (Tracy) Powers, Jason (Christen) Ritchison, Lindi (Dustin Saum) Powers, Shawn (Jannel) Powers, and Matt (Joyce) Powers; great-grandchildren, Faith, Taylor, Tyler, Steven, Amanda, Maddie Claire, Max, Brady, Randy, Bethany, Sicilly, Ja'Shawn, Noah, Nolan, Blake, and Juliann; and great-great-grandchildren, Azariyah, Blake, Sammy, and Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, George, Joe, Lawrence, and Bernard Brady; sisters, Memphis Peace, Sara Christine King, Ester Brady, Isabella King, Mavellena King, Thelma Pitts, Katherine Overton, and Marie Brady; son, Randy Powers; daughter-in-law, Beth Ann Powers; and granddaughter, Angela Powers Rivera.

Liz, as everyone called her, worked at RCA and Findlay Industries in Findlay. She was a member of Dillon Road Baptist Church, Fostoria Eagle's Club, Fostoria AMVETS, and Fostoria VFW. She loved all her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed visiting her family and friends. Liz enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, and her flowers. She also enjoyed canning and freezing food for the family. She enjoyed playing cards and singing karaoke with her family and friends. She loved traveling to Tennessee.

Liz's funeral will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with the Rev. Allen Minton officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.
