Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Goshe

Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Goshe, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday evening, April 20, 2024, at The Willows at Tiffin.

She was born Dec. 13, 1934, in Tiffin, to Arthur and Clara (Zirger) Betz. She married Delmar R. Goshe on Nov. 20, 1954.

Betty's survivors include her son, Brian J. Goshe of Mechanicsburg; daughters, Carol A. (Richard) Dise of North Lewisburg, Janet M. (Robert) Kuhn of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Donna J. Goshe of Findlay; brothers, A. William Betz and James D. (Jan) Betz, both of Tiffin; sister, Mary Jean Stanton of Tiffin; four grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister-in-law, Carol Betz.

Betty was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and graduated in 1952 from Tiffin Calvert. After graduating, she worked in payroll at Tiffin Glass House and GE. After her children were born, she was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. When her youngest was in high school, she went back to work as a teller for Tiffin St. Joseph Federal Credit Union and retired in 1996. Betty enjoyed reading and in her later years, word search puzzles. She enjoyed day trips with her husband, especially those to Amish Country. A dedicated caregiver, once her children were older, she ran errands and took care of business for her parents and in-laws. Betty was also an Ohio State football fan.

Betty's funeral will be 12 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Anthony Coci officiating.

Visitation for friends and family will be 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Allen Eiry Senior Center.
