Ellen Drake Obituary
Ellen Drake, 85, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at her residence.
Ellen was born July 19, 1939, on the Malabar Farm in Mansfield. She was born to the late Blair Maxwell and Marion (Hodges) Drake.
Survivors include six grandchildren, Jessica Lang, Sarah (Jerry Meszaros) Lang, Daniel "Danny" Hurt, Elona "Becky" (Travis) Goar, William "Bill" (Sophie Shriver) Hurt, and Blair (Kayden) Lang-Echols; two great-grandchildren, Logan Goar and Henry M. Hurt; and three brothers, James, David and Paul Drake.
Ellen worked at Ottawa County MRDD for over 12 years. She was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and Heidelberg University. Ellen was also a member of Lions Club of Bowling Green and Toastmasters.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Bonnie E. Lang, Connie E. Lang, and Sandy M. Lang; a son, Robert J. Lang; and a brother, Steven Drake.
There will be a private Celebration of Life held for Ellen at a later date.
Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting family with arrangements.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Tiffin Bark Park or Seneca County Humane Society.

I am so sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. I worked with her at the Ottawa County Board of Developmental Disabilities. She was a great asset to the team. Sure do miss her! Rest in Heaven Ellen!
