Eugena "Jeanie" Wellington

Eugena "Jeanie" Wellington, 73, of Kansas, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Spring Creek Care Center, Green Springs.

She was born July 10, 1951, in Fremont, to Robert "Butch" and Joyce "Eileen" (McHaffie) Yoder. She married Terry Wellington on Nov. 3, 1973, at Kansas United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Wellington of Kansas; son, Robert (Nicole) Wellington; foster son, Clark (Janice) Boatman; sisters, Sharon (Ellis) Barnett of Plymouth and Pat (Daryl) Saldausky of Reno, Nevada; nephew, Clay Nye; and niece, Diana Hale.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Ovid and Helen (Hedden) Yoder; and nephew, Gary Nye.

Jeanie retired in 1997 as a beautician at Erma's Beauty Shop. She was a 1969 graduate of Lakota High School and graduated from Tiffin Beauty Academy. She was a member of Kansas Fire Department, Kansas Ladies Auxiliary, 4H Advisor, and Fair Board Secretary Seneca County Fireman's Association.

Jeanie's memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Michael Holcomb officiating. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Kansas Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials can be made to Kansas United Methodist Church or charity of the donor's choice.
