Eugene Biller Obituary

Eugene R. Biller

Eugene R. Biller, 90, earned his angel wings Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, after a short illness.

He was born Jan. 9, 1932, to William and Eva (Funkhouser) Biller. He married Cathryn (Montz) Creeger on June 23, 1964, whom he has taken care of the last 24 years due to her stroke. Eugene resided in Hudson, Florida, for the last 24 years. Prior to moving to Florida, he resided in Port Clinton.

Eugene graduated from Attica High School in 1950. He was stationed in Alaska while serving his country in U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War. He served as Commander of American Legion in Port Clinton and was a member of the local Moose, Eagles, and Amvets. He worked for Davey Tree Service in Toledo for 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed many years of bowling three or four nights a week and rolled a 300 game, picked up the 7/10 split, and carried a pretty good average. He enjoyed playing cards, watching all sports, and westerns. His family was very important to him and he always enjoyed getting cards, phone calls, visits, sending cards, and an occasional comic strip to family and friends. He especially liked picking on and playing with the little ones.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cathryn; two sons, Eugene of Tampa, Florida, and Tom (Sherry) of Lakeland, Florida; four stepchildren, Karen Van Demark (Scott Smith) of Sheffield Lake, Gregory (Theresa) Creeger of Olmstead Falls, Cheryl (Ted) Overmyer of Fremont, and Lori (Greg) Colvin of Port Clinton; 15 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eva Biller; in-laws, Herbert and Mildred Montz; daughter, Crystal (Biller) Cline; two infant daughters; four brothers, Grafton, Cletus, William, and Dorsey Biller; one grandson; one infant grandson; and one infant great-grandchild.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Michels and Lundquist Funeral Home in New Port Richey, Florida. A memorial will take place at a later date.
